Young Roma, Egyptians and refugees from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo live in tough conditions. In order to facilitate their inclusion in the society, the Red Cross of Montenegro initiated the project “With Education to Inclusion of the Young from Konik Area”, which was supported by Telenor Foundation.
The main goal of the project is to improve the socialization of young Roma, Egyptians and refugees from Croatia, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Acquiring the basics of digital literacy can help them to better integrate into social flows. Within the project, workshops were organized for them to help them acquire the basic knowledge and skills of computer activities, the use of social networks and the safe use of the Internet.
Computer workshops were organized for a total of 60 young people of different age from the camps in Konik, who acquired knowledge and skills twice a week, and the training was realized in two cycles lasting three months. The project was supported at the fourth competition of the Telenor Foundation “Get Included Digitally” for projects that respond to current challenges in the community through the use of digital technologies.
