The need for developing philanthropic awareness and culture is taken seriously by the company, and starting from 2017, it was institutionalized through the Volunteer Club of Telekom, through which employees are engaged in community-based activities. The employees’ participation is voluntary and has come to an excellent response at all levels. Direct employees’ interaction through the Volunteer Club with those providing help and support and the possibility to directly see the impact of both their personal and company’s engagement contribute to better cohesion among employees, their identification with corporate values and a motive to actively engage in other social activities outside the Club’s ones.
So far, the Club has organized several successful charity and volunteer campaigns. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Montenegro, the Club organized campaigns for tree planting and school yards refurbishing in Podgorica, in the following schools: Stampar Makarije, 21. Maj and Vlado Milic, as well as the afforestation of the Zlatica forest park, in cooperation with NGO Green Home. In addition, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Institute, the Club also organized several successful voluntary blood donation campaigns.
