This days more and more is being talked about the importance of environmental protection. One of the most significant long-term projects of the NLB bank in the domain education about environment protection was “Obradujmo prirodu”, which NLB Banka have organized from 2010 until 2017 in cooperation with National Parks of Montenegro and Ministry of education.
This way bank connected two important things, education and promotion of tourist offer in protected areas. In this project from 2010. bank invested 52,000 € for creating an website for children’s eduaction (www.obradujmoprirodu.me), educational materials for classes, marking educational path, purchase of equipment, bicicles etc.
One of the key goals is to developed ecological awareness and pupils’ knowledge of the importance of national parks, the adoption of European environmental standards – the program contributes to changing children’ awareness of this important topic, through them and their parents as well as the wider community. Also, application of active teaching in the educational system of Montenegro – a new way of education developed by this Project that has continuously enabled the connection through the website with an interactive page www.obradujmoprirodu.me with all the elements: photos from the classes in nature, video clip activities, educational sheets in PDF format available for printing continue to be used for teaching in classrooms, prize games with topics related to the conservation of endangered species, etc. The website is primarily intended for students and teachers of all elementary schools in Montenegro.
