About thirty students of the Faculty of Visual Arts (FVA) at the University “Mediterranean“, from Bijelo Polje and Podgorica, have decorated the electrical boxes in order to make one part of Bijelo Polje more beautiful and attractive.
These activities were realized within the project “Multimedia Studio”, implemented by the Faculty of Visual Arts and funded by the Ministries of Education and Science throughout funds provided by the World Bank.
Students also realized other street art projects in different locations in Bijelo Polje and one of the most significant activities refers to art interventions in front of the house of the famous poet Risto Ratković from Bijelo Polje, author of the first modern novel in Montenegro and one of the most important Montenegrin poets. Thirty students, under the mentorship of the professor of the Faculty of Visual Arts, painted the street, where the artists’s house is located, playing with colors, patterns and verses of the famous poet, transforming an impersonal, gloomy space into an artistic, cultural and tourist attraction.
