For many years, Crnogorski Telekom has been recognized as a leader in the telecommunications market. Over the past 10 years, the company invested €200 million in the development of fixed and mobile networks, and the results achieved by Telekom in various business segments speak about the important contribution of the company to the development of the telecommunications market, as well as the development of the Montenegrin economy and society in general.
Having in mind the increasing needs of users for mobile internet services, the company paid special attention to the mobile network development. It currently covers almost the entire populated territory of Montenegro with 4G network, with the speed of up to 150 Mbps. At several locations, speeds of 300 to 400 Mbps are available, with 4G+ technology.
Thanks to the continuous investment in network development, Telekom has for the third year in a row achieved the best results in the overall measurement of the mobile network quality, thus confirming the position of the technological leader in the Montenegrin market.
In the fixed segment, broadband services are available for more than half of the households in Montenegro, primarily based on the development and expansion of the optical network, as well as through investments in existing copper infrastructure with improved new technology. Thanks to investments, the average internet package speed has increased by 40%, which has made Montenegro considerably closer to the objectives of the European Digital Agenda for 2020.
The company leads the digitization process in Montenegro. In January 2018, Crnogorski Telekom and the Government of Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation for Digital Montenegro, which provides system support to society to make best use of the advantages brought by technological changes.
In addition to investments in the best telecommunication services, Crnogorski Telekom supports the development of the community, where investments of over €8.5 million in various socially responsible projects over the past 10 years stand out.
