In Montenegro, 70% of people use “smart” phones. This means they have the ability to access, in an easy and simple way, the most diverse materials with the content important to them.
Information on city transport, healthcare institutions, cultural and sporting events – were available to the citizens of Podgorica in different places. Since recently, those information have been integrated into the Android application “Click Podgorica”, which enables citizens and tourists to get information on city and rail transport, biking, catering, sports facilities, health facilities, culture and the history of the Capital City in a quicker and simpler way.
The application represents a kind of a digital guide through Podgorica, and it emerged as a partner project of NGO Mladi info Montenegro, Studio Lasso, Telenor Foundation and the Capital City.
About 500 bus stops and 900 kilometers of bus lines are located on the electronic map, and all bicycle trails in the Capital City are marked. The application also contains a database of catering facilities, health institutions, cultural and historical institutions, sports facilities.
The application currently contains information about 1500 objects, and its improvement is being continuously worked on. The English version is also expected soon.
