In 2017, Addiko bank initiated CSR project, „Addiko Cares’’, with an aim to improve the quality of lives in the community and to motivate the employees to directly participate in socially responsible activities of the company, through the program of corporate volunteering. The first activity was realized on November 20, to celebrate the World Children’s Day, when volunteers from Addiko bank, supported by the Association for democratic prosperity- Zid, read book to the first grade students from as well as to the preschoolers from Podgorica. The action was joined by the employees in the Addiko bank from Tivat and Kotor, who visited preschool and school institutions in their towns.
Around 50 volunteers read „The Hedgehog’s House” and the stories by the brothers Grimm for over 400 little ones. The interaction and discussion was developed on the topic of the read stories in order to encourage children’s imagination and creative thinking and to celebrate their day in an interesting way.
Having in mind that the aim of this action is to help children and institutions which take care of their organized educational development and that these institutions are at the same time attended by students whose families are social welfare beneficiaries, the bank donated 500 new books to the schools and enriched their libraries. „Addiko Cares” is an action organized simultaneously in all member countries of Addiko Group, which gave this project a regional character.
